Maybe it's because I'm a girl, but I always struggle with finding the perfect gift for the men in my life. Are men in general just difficult to shop for?
When I found myself stumped as to what to get my boyfriend recently, I didn't know of anything he necessarily wanted at the time, but plenty of things that he likes. So, I created a personalized, thoughtful "man bouquet" full of all his favorite things. It turned out to be a pretty simple gift to put together, and of course he loved it! With the holiday season quickly approaching, this is definitely a gift type that I will be exploring for my dad, brother and uncles as well!

For my boyfriend, I knew that any miscellaneous items that I got him would be most appreciated if they were edible. So, I put together a list of about 7-10 small study snacks that I know he likes, and headed to the craft store to pick up some supplies. As a lover of beer, I found a small paint bucket that looked like a beer bucket and put a floral styrofoam block into the bottom. It would have been easier to just set everything inside the bucket and call it a day, but I didn't want any of the small pieces to get lost. So, I used a hot glue gun and clear packing tape to attach each piece to a stick, which I then secured into the styrofoam block at the bottom of the bucket.
All that was left was to dress up the presentation with some tissue paper to hide the styrofoam, and a nice bow around the bucket. Ta-da! A simple, personalized gift to show him you care.

Update: After creating this blog and giving this man bouquet gift to my boyfriend last year, his parents actually created their own version of the bouquet personalized just for me on my 24th birthday! Unlike my boyfriend's bouquet, this one was beach-themed and housed in a decorative box. The contents included beach-themed jewelry and accessories, sunscreen, popcorn and some Jose Cuervo mini bottles. Needless to say, this gift was perfect for me and I loved every piece of it! I might just be a focus group of one, but I still strongly believe this is a perfect gift for any occasion :)
