Some of my favorite breakfast smoothie ingredients include bananas, strawberries, mangoes, kale, spinach, flaxseed, milk, fat-free yogurt, peanut butter, and last but not least, protein powder.
Protein powder is now my favorite smoothie ingredient - it is an easy component to add to any smoothie recipe that actually reduces your tendency to snack throughout the day. Having that extra protein in your diet fills you up faster and will keep you feeling fuller longer, so it's a strong way to start your day! In fact, I now mix it into my oatmeal and yogurt as well!
I've been a longtime smoothie fan - beginning back as a child sipping on ice cream-filled, fruit smoothies with whipped cream toppings. However, I love smoothies so much more now... while they taste just as delicious as always, now they can be guilt-free & beneficial, too!
