SCAM ALERT: Raspberry Ketone Fresh & Total Body Fresh

I saw a post on Facebook from a friend, linking to an article about Raspberry Ketone Fresh. It was a glowing review from a women's magazine about the product's amazing ability to melt stubborn belly fat. I read a couple other online articles that said Raspberry Ketone had been rising in popularity as a weight loss supplement, and apparently Dr. Oz had endorsed it. I don't watch Dr. Oz, so I don't know if that's true or not. But what I do know is that the internet is full of people asking the same questions about this product: "Does Raspberry Ketone really work?" and "Is this a scam?" Take my word for it - it is too good to be true. It turns out the company even lied, saying that it had received endorsements from Glamour Magazine and Women's Health, both of which denied any support of the product and called out the scam. It also claimed celebrity endorsements from celebrities, such as Adele. It seems that Raspberry Ketone Fresh develops fraudulent web pages to look like real magazines endorsing their product. So, the magazine article I had read was fake, as was the Facebook post that had spammed my friend's wall.

Of course, I didn't realize any of this as I was first reading the article. At that point, I didn't see any risk in giving it a shot. I had never tried a fat burning supplement before, and this was a free trial bottle that apparently worked differently in combination with another supplement from the same company - a detox cleanser. So, I went ahead and ordered them. I paid for shipping, and later found out that I was also charged a foreign transaction fee. It wasn't until after placing the order that I saw fine print saying that I had 14 days to return the trial bottle before I was charged the full price - about $80 per bottle, as well as an automatic refill for another month's supply of each. Not exactly a free trial...

So I called the customer service line to cancel the order. I was connected with a man who didn't sound sober. He spoke in a whisper, praising the product and listing off a bunch of different countries that each ingredient was from. I continued to ask about the billing problem for 20 minutes (not an exaggeration), with him completely ignoring my questions and continuing to rave about the product ingredients. At one point I actually laughed and asked if he was Michael Oppenheimer from the Elvis Duran morning show, because I was certain it was all a joke. It wasn't. He actually refused to let me speak to a manager until I started asking continuously for about 5-10 minutes. Once the manager was on the line, he removed the automatic refill from my account, but asked that I at least try the product before returning it. He assured me there was no risk, and if it didn't work they would take it back. So, I gave it a try.

I took both pills everyday for about 2 weeks, and the only thing that changed was that my stomach felt as if it were being ripped apart. I felt sick and my head felt cloudy hours after I took the pills each day, even though the brand had promised no side effects on the trial website. As soon as I was sure the pills weren't doing anything positive for me, I stopped taking them. I called and customer service line, and they had me pay the return shipping on the products, or else I would have to pay full price for them.

If you've already placed an order for these pills, I strongly recommend you call the customer service number on your receipt/confirmation and watch your credit card for hidden fees. Here are the customer service numbers I had (both go to the same office):
Raspberry Ketone Fresh: 1-888-800-1183
Total Body Fresh: 1-800-526-1459
